- France's cinematographic pioneers Auguste and Louis Lumiere, a counterpoint to Scotland's John Logie Baird (previous). The cartoon alludes to their 1895 short L'Arrouser Arrousee (The Sprinkler Sprinkled).
Part of the Scottish Cartoon Art Studio's Auld Alliance exhibition, shown at the Salon International de la Caricature, du Dessin de Presse et d'Humour (St.Just-le-Martel, Limoges) in 2002 and 2007 and at the Alliance Française (Glasgow) and L'Institut Francais d'Ecosse (Edinburgh) in 2006.
